Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information science, or related field
Ability to support and/ or develop a variety of Java applications
2+ years with the ability to create/ modify configuration settings using a GUI based tool
2+ years in developing triggers using the Device Wise Workbench application
Skills related to designing, developing, and performance testing Java/J2EE applications and services
Familiarity of SQL Stored Procedures (DB2/MSSQL)
Familiarity with common build tools such as subversion, ANT, and cruise control/Jenkins
Exposure to System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and Rational Unified Process (RUP) development methodology
Exposure to Object oriented application architecture, design, and development
Ability to work with minimal direction, prioritize and execute tasks in a demanding environment
Ability to present ideas to a technically diverse audience
Ability to work in a team oriented collaborative environment
Analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills

Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience using WebSphere
Experience using IBM MQ Series
Experience using IBM RAD / Eclipse Java Development tool
Experience developing with JPA / EJB3, socket communication, Java Swing and Java FX applications
Experience re-factoring Java applications
Experience utilizing industry standard web development frameworks (GWT, Dojo, STRUTS, JAAS, etc
Familiarity with Structured Query Language (MS SQL Server, UDB or DB2)
Experience with Java Webstart to distribute standalone Java applications
Experience with equipment communication protocols such as Serial (Java rxtx), TCP/IP (Atlas Open Protocol, Omron FINS)
Familiarity with programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Familiarity with Telit Device Wise Workbench
Effectively communicate technical concepts in business terminology
Familiarity with TQM Tools and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effect Analysis)

Job Description:
Configuration set up using an application to control collection stations on the assembly line
Develop Device Wise triggers to pass data from line side PLC''s to GALC
Design, develop and deploy Java/J2EE applications
Work with customers to gather and document requirements
Develop and execute testing scripts for new and existing applications
Create design documentation, program / functional specifications and supporting project documentation
Go to the spot to understand customer issues and provide customer feedback to aid their understanding of the issue
Determine root cause of system problems / issues
Work with customer to coordinate system installation / implementation
Track progress and provide weekly status reports to the project manager and team manager
Setup line side stations in the GALC application, develop triggers in DeviceWise
Perform application design, development performance monitoring, testing and trending
Identify defect trends and relationships and develop countermeasures
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning applications / systems
Prepare incident reports/countermeasures and periodic updates of issue analysis
Interact with customers and reports on project status
