Requirements:
1. Proven success developing Java web applications associated with large scale projects
2. 5+ years of rapid web development, using HTML, Java, JavaScript, Perl, XML, and Spring MVC framework
3. 3+ years experience with SQL
4. High-functioning, self-driven, motivated and curious.
5. Do not wait for others to solve a problem – get behind the wheel and drive the solution!
6. Excels in team related competencies including: Solution Architecture, Data warehousing, Data Modeling, Development, Testing and Documentation.
7. Leads by setting the right example – in problem solving, testing, documenting and communicating.
8. Proficient in Agile methodologies and effectively participates in related ceremonies.
9. Active participant in PI (effective in breaking down features to workable user stories that focus on delivery of business value), sprint planning, standups & showcases.
10. Effective in building architecturally sound solutions for massive data volumes.
11. Amplifies the art of what is possible, by bringing forth forward thinking solutions.
12. Champion company standards and best practices. Work to continuously improve solution delivery processes and practices.
Preferred:
A successful candidate will have the majority of the following
1. Background in building and designing REST APIs
2. An understanding of the TCP/HTTP protocols
3. No SQL Database background is a plus
4. Experience with load testing (Jmeter, etc
5. A solid understanding of web application development processes
6. Familiarity with GIT/STASH, Maven, and Websphere a plus
7. Eagerness and flexibility to learn cross functional roles on an agile team
8. Ability to interact effectively in a team environment.
9. Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills.
