Job Description:
TDHCA is currently working on a project to enhance its Community Affairs (“CA”) Contract System to meet expanded federal reporting requirements for the CA programs, the Community Services Block Grant (“CSBG”) and the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (“LIHEAP” The CA Contract System is a custom business application used by TDHCA to manage contracts associated with both of those programs and other CA programs. The system is a web application written in Java with an Oracle database backend. It is used by TDHCA employees and subrecipients of CA funding around the state to enter programmatic and financial information associated with the programs. The Java Programmers hired through this solicitation will assist TDHCA in performing software development work to implement the enhancements to the system

The person hired into the Java Programmer positions will perform the following services in support of the project:

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
Years Skills/Experience
4 J2EE, Maverick or other MVC framework (such as Struts), Torque and/or Hibernate, Ant, CVS or other source control, Eclipse, Apache/Tomcat, JSP, Velocity, UML, PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle, and XHTML.
4 Experience with Unix, shell scripting, and data migration.
Degree Four-year college degree with a major in Computer Science or related degree, or an additional four years of applicable software development work experience.
Strong Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
