Supplemental Duties Tasks Specific to this requirement: Responsibilities: ¿

Apply concepts of application architecture and service orientation to assist custom teams responsible for developing application requirements in specific functional areas for Maximo Improvements and asset lifecycle management ¿ Guide construction of the business case for change ¿ Create the asset lifecycle management framework blueprint that addresses the following: o FTA compliance requirements o Adherence to TAM compliance o National Transit Database repository o Wayside automation o Procure to pay lifecycle o Inventory and warehousing o Useful life of assets o Return on investments ¿ Identify and collate existing standards, policies and standard operating procedures related to assets lifecycle management, including but not limited to: o Asset tagging o Asset naming convention o Asset codes o Asset mapping o Asset relationships o Asset data input controls o Asset data governance o Asset tracking and traceability o Asset useful life o Asset disposal o And many more¿ ¿ Build multiple tiers of classification groups and categories to enable the relationships between assets that fulfill the minimum criteria with the stated class, group or category. Examples include: o Line of Business o Core Services o Revenue/Non-Revenue o Class of service o Category o Type o Location o Etc. ¿ Design and develop the relationship of parts and components (for the last identifiable asset) on the principles of: o Completely knocked down kits o Semi-knocked down kits/assemblies o This exercise aims to cover the last identified part or component in relation to an asset. ¿ Coordinate work to prevent overlap and ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture Framework, IT strategy, SDLC, strategic drivers and standards as it related to Asset Lifecycle management ¿ Produce flow charts, context diagrams, problem analyses, mind maps and other tools to capture and communicate design decisions and components ¿ Prepare as-is and to-be application architecture artifacts including system connect diagrams, application reference models, software requirements documents, interface descriptions, data dictionaries and application staging plans. ¿ Apply gap analysis techniques to define the nature and extent of application scope changes and communicate business case to decision makers. ¿ Work with data and infrastructure architects

and software program managers to ensure integrity of application systems and plans with overall Enterprise Architecture. Guide the work of business systems/business case analysts and documentation specialists. ¿ Understand and explain the relationship between process design and information capture and retrieval, especially with respect to performance measurement ¿ Apply industry standard architectural frameworks (such as FEAF, TOGAF, and ITS) to the enterprise to guide and update the creation of the Asset management systems ¿ Apply guiding principles of regulatory requirements related to FTA, transit Asset Management framework, capital need inventory, state of good repair and MAP-21 reporting ¿ Work with project team to help develop business process flows, information flows, logical representations, etc. to maintain and support standardization of technology toolsets ¿ Work with IT architects to ensure business goals are supported by IT plans ¿ Apply industry standards and best practices to implement process improvements ¿ Review, assess, and validate the existing policies. Grandfather the ones that meet the intended outcome and suggest changes for modifying the existing policies or creating new ones ¿ Assist in developing computer based training program for end-users and stakeholders Preferred skills and experience: ¿ Strong information system architecture, design and implementation experience with Enterprise Asset Lifecycle Management, asset lifecycle stages, business processes, Large Scale transit Asset Management, configurable work-flow/business rule engine, inventory, warehousing, work order etc. in asset management systems such as Maximo. ¿ Experience using the Enterprise repository tools to document relationship of application architectures to and enterprise architecture. ¿ Formal training in organization development, complex systems analysis, group facilitation or information systems requirements analysis for assets. ¿ Experience in the transit industry ¿ specific to organization and design of business processes for transit assets. ¿ 9 or more years¿ experience, including architecture models and Governance framework model including standards, policies, standard operating procedures, and change management controls applications for Asset
Management ¿ particularly, Maximo ¿ Hands-on experience in preparing use case specifications and underlying requirements specifications outlining technical, functional, non-functional, security, risk, data, audit, governance and compliance specification descriptions for asset lifecycle management by respective lifecycle stages ¿ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills ¿ Group facilitation experience ¿ Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio to perform basic financial analysis of business processes .
