JBOSS Admin
Location: Portland, OR
Detailed Responsibilities
To build and support middleware infrastructure for J2EE applications using tomcat sever, RedHat Jboss EAP 6x/7x, Oracle IAS (WebLogic), Apache HTTP, IIS webservers.
Administer and configure the web subsystem including Microsoft IIS and Apache web servers.
Configure the data source subsystem including database drivers (Ex. Oracle, SQL Server, and Informix), connection pooling, etc.
Configure HTTPS security including certificate management.
Support production load balanced environment including extranet and intranet configuration.
Configure monitoring to ensure availability and health of business applications.
Troubleshoot performance issues with Application Servers and webservers.
Tune parameters like class path loaders, JVM heap, connection pool, garbage collection algorithm etc.
Utilize available Application Performance monitoring tools to isolate root cause issues.
Provide administration support for production and non-productions environments (Dev, QA, Pre-Prod, and UAT
Support production environment via 24/7 on-call support as required (very low volume expected)
