Java Developer
Charlotte, NC
3 to 6 Months Contract-to-Hire
Phone and Face-Face Interview Required
Responsibilities:
Interpret written business requirements, functional requirements and technical specification documents to design and develop technical solutions that meet business needs
Collaborate with IT and Business partners to design, develop, and troubleshoot end to end technical solutions
Develop solutions that are reusable, testable, efficient and elegant.
Identify and manage downstream dependencies/impacts of the
Provide status and progress updates to Project/Scrum Manager
Identify and communicate technical risks, issues, and changes
Contribute to design review meetings with other members of Application Development
Act as part of a scrum team rapidly delivering on stories, functionality and fixes.
Required Skills:
Excellent team player with good organizational, communicational, analytical and logical skills.
Excellent experience with Java and J2EE
Proficient in HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS
Exposure to Angular 2 and/or Angular 4
Experience with Spring, Spring Integration
Experience with creating and consumption of web services including REST, JSON, XML, SOAP
Experience working within an Agile environment and part of an agile scrum team.
Good understanding of the web browsers, web applications and how they work.
Desired Skills:
Experience with no-sql databases is a plus
Familiarity with Weblogic and Eclipse
Responsive layouts and bootstrap
Unit testing with Gradle, Selenium
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree - Computer Science or Management Information Systems (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of IT work experience with demonstrated increasing responsibilities
Superior organizational and communication skills
Ability to understand technological complexity and articulate it into simple solutions
Financial Services industry experience is a plus
