Job Title: ETL-SIS Developer

JOB PURPOSE
The ETL (SSIS) and SQL Developer will responsible for converting ETLs from Datastage into SSIS and and supporting legacy applications, working integrally and very closely with the Lead Data Engineer and other engineers in the team.

Job Title: SSIS Developer
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze ETL jobs in Datastage and Design and code ETL in SSIS.
Execute and reconcile the results from the new ETL in SSIS with results from Datastage ETL.
Tune slow running jobs with the help of redesign and better ETL processes to meet business needs.
Work very closely with the data engineers to design, model, develop, and maintain existing and new SQL databases objects required for all business solutions.
Take directions, follow recommendations, and share status reports to his/her manager
Confer with relevant team members where necessary. Study systems flow, data usage, and work processes
Deliver functional work product that has been thoroughly tested and documented.
Follow development team’s SDLC process. Accurately estimate time required to complete projects and tasks.
Meet mutually agreed upon deadlines for completion of modules throughout the program development
Works well independently; capable of self-motivating and managing
REQUIRED SKILLS
2-5 years of ETL development experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
2-5 years of development experience in T-SQL.
Ability to analyze an existing ETL flow and design and develop ETL in SSIS.
NICE TO HAVE
Development experience in IBM Datastage ETL tool
