Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:
· Manage complex or extremely complex projects (or multiple projects) spanning across business areas (manage project budgets between $500,000 and $10,000,000 and matrix teams ranging in size from 25 to 100 member teams)

· Able to impact beyond area of responsibility and serve in interim leadership roles as needed

· Ensures strategic direction of projects is in line and designs strategies for alignment with Company and business unit goals and objectives

· Consults and makes recommendations to senior management/executives on significant issues.

· Ability to interact with all levels including senior management and influence decision-making

· Proven ability to determine key business and technical issues, develop effective action plans and implement to successful conclusion

· Ability to operate at a strategic business level and fully incorporate business and IT strategies within all projects

· Manages the design, development and/or implementation of new or enhanced systems projects or programs. Including:
o Assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed
o Developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting interim deadlines of project
o Communicates with internal and external parties on project status
o Preparing reports for management review
o Managing the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of the project
o Ensure all phase gates and the appropriate documentation is completed


· Masters Degree preferred

· PMP Preferred

· Technically proficient having broad background in problem solving tools. Six Sigma certification or Project Management certification preferred

· Knowledge in developing and implementing company-wide, organizational development or process improvement programs

· Knowledge of BSC or health care preferred

· Subject matter expert in sophisticated, best-practices organizational development, process improvement or project management processes

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to have difficult conversations.

· Strong negotiation skills and ability to successfully interact with all levels of management.

· Ability to coach and mentor

· Ability to work independently and as a team member

· Prefer expert knowledge of the insurance and/or financial services industries

· Expert facilitation skills required, SCRUM Master skills preferred

· Must have ability to pay attention to both detailed and high level program issues and risks

· Ability to quickly grasp root cause to complex technical issues

· Must be able to articulate options and solutions to complex problems

· Able to navigate in a complex and sometimes political landscape to effectively deliver on project commitments

Minimum Experience Level:

· 10 to 12 years organizational development, process improvement, or project management experience

· IT / Technical background, at least 8 years experience

· Demonstrated experience in cross-functional, cross-disciplinary project management/project leadership on large-scale corporate/enterprise-wide projects

· Demonstrated experience collaborating and negotiating with managers and executives

· Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring and guiding employees in areas related to organizational development and process improvement

· Demonstrated experience managing organizational development and change management communication issues

· 4 years experience managing professional staff members

· High/Significant (3-5 yrs) proficiency required in MS Project, Planview, or similar project management tool

· Advanced skills live scribing during meetings while facilitating, utilizing web and audio conferencing, and in MS Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Adaptable and willing to work in fluid business situations.

· Polished and professional demeanor and appearance
