Job Description:
The IoT Network Team focuses on designing, building, and optimizing client’s IoT network. The team is responsible for technical activities such as acceptance testing of sensors and gateways, vendor relationships, network support and maintenance, application server integration, supporting proof-of-concepts, demonstrations of the end to end IoT platform, advocating for North American issues in the LoRa alliance, integration of IoT radios into client products, internal LoRa training for other client groups, and additional technical activities related to the IoT network.
"The Lab Specialist will work to ensure interoperability among the components in the IoT network, including sensors, gateways, network servers, and application servers. They will support customer proofs-of-concepts by recommending capable devices, configuration of the devices, education on LoRa to the customer, and integration with application servers.
The Lab Specialist will be expected to work on prototype hardware and software with limited documentation, work with vendors to acquire any information that isn’t provided, and educate other team members on their experience with different components of the LoRa system. Job responsibilities will primarily consist of a few longer term tasks (such as supporting particular customer proof-of-concepts), and many short term tasks (such as configuring and deploying gateways and sensors Critical thinking to better understand and solve unique issues that arise is necessity.

Required Qualifications:
1+ years of wireless technology experience with a focus on lab setup and testing
Engineering degree from top college/university
Solid understanding of PHY and MAC network concepts
Competent using Linux
Comfortable giving demonstrations of technical products and systems and explaining the underlying technology involved
Able to configure consumer devices (via serial, http, ssh, NFC, and similar protocols)
Programming or scripting knowledge
Experience with systems architecture or integration, ability to setup demonstrations and proofs-of-concepts quickly for customers

Nice-to-have Qualifications:
Cryptography experience (hashing, authentication, key exchange)
Json/XML backend API integration
Hardware soldering, including surface mount parts
Familiarity with prototype development boards, GPIO, SPI interfaces
Software defined radio expertise"
