Job Title: Integration Architect

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States





Position Description

The candidate must have a broad, conceptual understanding of the technology architecture trends and directions coupled with demonstrated technical mastery for the Integration technologies, frameworks, and/or languages. The candidate will communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences and collaborate with partner teams including enterprise architecture, product engineering, system administration, and various business stakeholders. The Integration Architect has a deep understanding of integration technologies and practices as well as the business acumen to develop overarching system designs. The Architect partners with the Integration team to develop standards and design patterns. This position will work with various IT teams to champion the adoption of patterns, platforms, and tools to support the usage and conformity of the integration architecture.





Your future duties and responsibilities

Must be visionary and strategic in approach, and demonstrated ability to apply middleware / integration disciplines to solve business problems
Drive assessment to set future integration/middleware direction, contributing and communicating expert knowledge to provide a set of recommendations along with a timeline / high level roadmap
Translate the business and technical requirements into executable middleware managed service and technology solutions.
Review and audit of existing solution, design and system architecture along with integration patterns
Understand business problems and how to create processes and system capabilities to solve these problems or opportunities
Envision and detail out solutions to meet current and anticipated future business needs across functional and technical process areas
Understanding of enterprise integration design patterns, security best practices, communication protocols/techniques and how they align with common business strategies
Effectively communicate with and make strategic recommendations to senior level management as well as all levels of internal/external service partners
Work closely with Client Teams EA and Security SMEs to understand processes, standards and guidelines to shape the recommendations and roadmap



Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Defining architectures that meet security, scalability, high availability, and network management/monitoring requirements, in a hybrid environment
Designing and implementing integration patterns and approaches across product areas.
Systems engineering techniques such as architecture modeling, alternative analysis, tradeoff analysis, and portfolio analysis.
Business process modeling & reengineering.
Various architecture disciplines like Application, Data, Security and Infrastructure.
Developing integration solutions and ecosystems that decouple data from systems of records and presentation systems that scale.
Strong knowledge of API's and Frameworks and data integration models
Service Oriented Architecture design, web/RESTful services, and event-driven architecture
Technical Development - 10+ years' experience
Integration/Application Architect - 5+ years' experience
SOA, Microservices - 3+ years' experience
Integration Tools & Middleware Technologies - 5+ years' experience
Industry standards, services, architecture principles design, and solutions modeling.
Design & Implement integration patterns & approaches across multiple areas - 3+ years' experience.
Multiple integration platforms is highly desired. (IBM BOOMI, RedHat/JBoss, Mulesoft) - 5+ years' experience
