Instructional Designer
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 12 - 13 months



Description:

Requesting Department: Bus. Readiness & Optimization



Instructional Designer:

Engagement Description

- Understand the operations and systems to implement effective training.

- Work with Operations and Business Readiness Leader to determine project timeline for development, any dependencies from IT or others to complete training, identify roadblocks or issues that may arise, identify gaps and any dependencies

- Conduct front-end analysis and determine documentation and training needs

- Create a documentation and training strategy

- Create and prepare instructional materials used for training and daily operations

- Develop training curriculum and conduct training for both classroom and virtual audience

- Design, develop and deliver criterion-based evaluation tools upon completion of each training intervention

- Provide train the trainer sessions as needed.



Top 4 Required Skills/Experience:

- 3+ years in a Healthcare industry

- 5+ years in a training design, development

- 5+ years developing and delivering training

- 3+ years creating process flows



Required Skills/Experience:

- Knowledge of graphic programs, SnagIt; distance learning software, Captivate

- Ability to embrace content of training topic to write training materials

- Ability to analyze, develop, write, and organize training materials across multiple platforms

- Ability to create job aids with step/action tables



Preferred Skills/Experience:

- Microsoft Word, Project, Visio, Excel

- AGILE/JIRA experience

- Strong Presentation skills including PowerPoint presentation development

- Health Insurance operations knowledge



Education/Certifications:

- Bachelor’s degree is required in a related field.
