Job Description
Required Skills (Rank In Order Of Importance):
1. Leadership skills
2. Working knowledge of the PMI project management lifecycle
3. Working knowledge of the change management lifecycle
4. At least 3 years’ experience in network protocols, security, operating systems, and/or infrastructure
5. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate the needs of technical peers, technical and user management, business users, vendors, and staff members
6. Excellent verbal and written communications to include grammar, composition, punctuation, writing, editing and proofreading skills
7. Experience with meeting facilitation
8. Experience in developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures, and best practices
9. Experience with requirements / environments for PCI, PUB1075, and/or NIST.
Preferred Skills (Rank In Order Of Importance):
1. Current industry certifications for Microsoft products and/or information security practices
2. Knowledge of Microsoft products- Windows Server 2016, SharePoint 2016, Project 2016, SCCM 2012, Windows 2016, Office 2016
3. BA, QA certifications & experience
4. Internet standards, including TCP/IP, and DNS, DHCP
5. Server operating systems installation and configuration
6. Internet security
7. Virtual Private Networking (VPN),
8. TCP/IP, Local Area Networks (LAN)
9. Wide Area Networks (WAN)
10. Easily adapts to changing priorities
11. Knowledge of information technology best practices, organization and operations
12. Ability to conduct research into infrastructure issues and products as required
13. Experience as a project manager
in government IT projects
Required Education/Certifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and four (4) years of experience in information technology systems or related area; or an Associate's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and six (6) years of experience in information technology systems or related area; or a High School diploma and eight (8) years of experience in information technology systems or related area
2. PMP certification. Expired certifications must be reinstated within 6 months of start date.
