Infrastructure Project Manager

Location: Campbell, CA

6 months+

PMP or PMI Certififed. Don t want to see people with 20+ years
Not a lot of Structure, doesn t need rigid structure
Schedule meetings, keep oeple on task,
Resource management,
Understand technical IT Infrastructure (Server, Networks,
Storage, Application role outs, ie AD, o365 migrations)
Number of project: 6 8 project at time.
Soft Skill: someone who can put together executive summary (know
difference between task update vs, executive summary)
Speak with engineers and get them to do Documentation
Assertive, but with political acumen
MSP, Professional services background
Projects are for External customers
Application roll outs (AD, roll outs, o365 migrations)
Projects are around Hardware/Software deployment they sold to the
customer, now they are implementing
Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution
of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant
stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project
scope, schedule, and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage relationships with clients and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risk
Establish and maintain relationships third parties/vendors
Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendation report to
identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Essential Core Competencies:

Verifiable educational background, preferably in the fields of computer
science or engineering for technical project managers
5+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity,
including all aspects of process development and execution.
Proven working experience as a project administrator in the information
technology sector
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience
with enterprise hardware and software
Excellent written and verbal, client-facing and internal communication
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and
multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies
PMI certification is a plus
