Infrastructure Engineer – Network and Security
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Full Time position

Overview of Role:
The Infrastructure Engineer – Network and Security is responsible for the development, administration and operation of client’s transport and security platforms. In this role, the candidate will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of security and network operations for all corporate and power generation plant locations. The ideal candidate will have network and security experience in global enterprise and ICS (industrial control systems) networks, industrial network design and plant data collection preferably in the power generation industry. The individual will have responsibility for network security design, troubleshooting and support including day-to-day operations of company locations and its systems. Responsible for support, troubleshooting of LAN/WAN systems, network security devices, remote connectivity, and system installation.

Job Responsibilities:
Analyze security systems for weaknesses and deviations from security policies and accepted norms, research and propose recommendations for the improvement of the overall security posture of the company.
Primary resource for network and security incident response. Develop and execute contingency plans for network software, hardware failures, and cyber security incidents including isolated and major outages.
Develop and continuously improve security standards and polices for enterprise and process control (ICS/SCADA) networks.
Enable secure corporate and remote plant network access, including connectivity and communications between data collection systems, plant control systems and corporate services.
Design, troubleshoot and support day-to-day security operations, security system installations and maintenance, and document/track issues and fixes.
Design, employ, troubleshoot and support day-to-day Network Operations including LAN/WAN optimization systems, remote connectivity support, edge routing, and wireless connectivity systems.
Configure and implement IoT platforms, corporate voice communications system, and video conferencing services and equipment.
Establish security audits for offices and sites, quarterly testing and documentation. Create controls for network security systems and IT controls. Create disaster recovery plan, and schedule and execute tests.
Evaluate and improve site networks and WIFI security.
Manage firewalls including documentation, change control, and logs.
Work proactively and cohesively with members of the Service Operations, Field Services, and Applications Teams to resolve issues and innovate.
Direct external managed services providers and ensure effectiveness of the services.
On-call weekly rotation with IT team to resolve after hours and weekend requests.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
7+ years of networking and security experience – Routers/ Firewalls/ Wireless /VPN /LAN /WAN /TCP/IP/VSAT
Must possess commanding knowledge of Layer 2/3 Routing and Switching including IP Addressing, BGP, OSPF protocols, processes and functionality
Experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining FortiGate Firewalls (stand alone and HA Pairs
Administration of FortiGate Firewalls with FortiAnalyzer and FortiManager.
Administration of email security appliances: Cisco Iron Port, TrendMicro HES, Barracuda, McAfee.
Experience with Network Access Control to include experience with IDS/IPS Solutions, Authentication solutions, and compliance management
Experience designing and deploying Quality of Service (QOS) practices
Experience with networking protocols such as VLAN, VPN, NAT, DNS/DHCP
Possess experience employing and managing corporate Voice over IP solutions.
Practical experience leveraging scripting to automate manual functions.
Experience with Network Management and monitoring tools.
Working knowledge of Dell and Extreme switches, and other security platforms.
Ability to work with end users to resolve issues when required.
Strong service orientation, collaborative attitude with both peers and internal customers
Excellent documentation and verbal skills
Ability to multi-task efficiently, must possess ability to be self-driven and motivated
Willingness and ability to travel on an as-needed basis (approximately 40%)
Experience with the following is a plus:

Bilingual Skills (Spanish & English)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field from an accredited university or college preferred. Experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
Industry standard IT and Security certifications such as: CISSP, CCNA, CEH, Network+, Linux+
