Role : Infrastructure Engineer/Network Engineer
Location : Hoffman Estates, IL
Duration : 6+ Months
Essential Responsibilities:
40% of job Infrastructure Architecture implementation. The engineer must have the aptitude, skills and knowledge to implement secure, highly available server architecture. This involves Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, configuring and Windows Failover Clustering. Experience configuring VM-Ware and Hyper-visor replication technology is a plus. Knowledge of Disaster Recovery technologies is desired. Understanding of SAN technologies is a plus. This requires detailed knowledge of data center operations, network architectures and IT configurations.
30% of Job Create Detailed Infrastructure/network architecture designs that clearly demonstrate network connectivity, redundancy, network design and security requirements, including firewalls, routers, and VPN tunnels. This also utilizes load balancing technologies. The engineer must have the aptitude to create networking architecture documents and effective present them to senior members of our customers’ IT organizations.
20% of Job: Cloud Infrastructure administration. The engineer should have experience and aptitude working in cloud environments such as Azure or Amazon. Provisioning servers and services, designing solutions and managing security are essential responsibilities.
10% of Job: Plan, Organize and administer security infrastructure. This requires knowledge of VLAN, routing protocols, Firewalls and cloud-based security and vulnerability assessment tools. Experience working with Agile development methodology is critical.
