KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operational Services
1.1 To maintain the existing technical infrastructure of Torus IT systems and telephony, and to assist the Assistant Manager Infrastructure in best practice for requirements analysis, planning, design, deployment and ongoing operations management and technical support of the company''s ICT infrastructure.
1.2 To assist with the delivery of projects contained within the IT Strategy.
1.3 Assist in ensuring that the Company’s reporting requirements are being met.
1.4 Assist with the development and implementation of data and voice/video communications systems, helping to identifying options, solutions and improvements, assessing the potential uses of new technologies.
1.5 Action the safe relocation of IT infrastructure to other sites as required.
1.6 Assist with Virtualisation Monitoring/Management, System Monitoring/Management, Server Monitoring/Management, Active Directory Monitoring/Management and Storage Monitoring/Management. Ensuring all is effectively and efficiently used, located, secure and maintained.

1.7 Ensure hardware inventories are checked and updated regularly.
1.8 Ensure effective and robust security and backup systems are in place for both data and equipment.
1.9 Monitor the performance of the Company''s network including wireless and ensure it is properly structured, making recommendations as appropriate so that it operates efficiently and effectively meets the needs of the people it serves.
1.10 Ensure a Disaster Recovery procedure is in place regularly tested and kept up to date with newly introduced or modified infrastructure/systems.
1.11 Ensure the updates of all hardware and maintain a watching brief on the appropriateness of our antivirus policies and intrusion/malware detection systems.
1.12 Ensure thorough documentation is maintained and available in an organised format for all procedures undertaken by the team. Ensure all documentation and installation software is available independently in a disaster recovery situation.
1.13 Ensure change management procedures are adhered to.
