Role: Informatica Data Lead
Location: Grapevine, TX.

Description:
Minimum 8-10 years of experience
Helping define application development standards for Teradata and ETL Tools like Informatica & Cognos.
Experience working on ETL Tools like SAP Data Services, Informatica etc.
Ensure that application development is adhering to standards (database creation, object naming, MVC, PI selection, etc
Application specific capacity planning
Code Reviews
3rd level support for Performance Tuning
Collaborate with DBA team on new subject areas, roles, profiles, etc…
Ensure new features of Teradata DB are being utilized
Play an intermediary role between DBAs and developers
Collaborate with DBAs on system level performance tuning opportunities
Develop specifications and Code for high complexity items, working independently
Adhere to Software Development Lifecycle Methodology
Provide detailed program specifications
Create quality code to match specification
Perform unit testing
Create appropriate documentation of the code
Support and troubleshoot production systems as required, optimizing performance and resolving production problems. (High complexity items)
Adhere to SLA’s
Proactively identify problems and make recommendations regarding solutions
Innovative ideas to solve business problems with existing or new technology
Research, identify and implement ways to move into new development paradigms such as Service Oriented Architecture to ensure a re-use strategy
Assist in post implementation continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality
Perform root cause analysis on re-occurring problems and make recommendations to eliminate the issue
Quality - Perform specification reviews and code reviews
Knowledge of Big Data features and Plug-ins
Should be able to work in a team
Should be able to Mentor other team members
Ability to produce high quality work products under pressure and within deadlines
To coordinate with developers / other architects / other stakeholders
Knowledge of Retail domains will be added advantage
Participate in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of the data warehousing project; project planning, business requirement analysis, data analysis, logical and physical database design, setting up the warehouse physical schema and architecture, developing reports, security and deploying to end users
