These are some of the qualifications needed for data analyst
Needed Skills :
1. Able to use Informatica IDQ for data profiling alternatively write scripts in Python/ Embeded SQL.
2. Able to understand data sets required to study a business problem and design types of profiling applicable.
3. Basic concept of Data Models (relational and dimensional
4. Good Excel and Powerpoint skills.
5. Basic understanding of data flow and data lineage and methods to capture these .
6. Good communication skills
Desirable Skill:
1. Usage of a data modeling tool.
2. Knowledge of advanced Relational and Dimensional Model as well as ability to read COBOL copybooks
3. Understanding of Adobe or google analytics.
4. Understanding of Sales/Marketing/Party/Product as business concepts/modeling constructs.
