OVERVIEW:
The primary job function of this position is to work with business and convert the functional requirements into technical requirements and develop ETL using Informatica.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and development of complex Informatica ETL processes that integrate large data sets from multiple sources, monitoring, troubleshooting, tracking and documenting day-to-day production issues.
Work with Product Owner, BI Analyst, and Business Users to understand business processes, gather and document project requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications for ETL and Tableau.
Perform systems and data analysis to implement and optimize Informatica mappings and ETL workflows, data flows, shell scripts and stored procedures.
Assist in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance, providing increased functionality and supporting production systems based on business requirements.
Mentor and train IT staff by sharing best practices and lessons learned from past implementation efforts.
Ensure the ETL code delivered is running, conforms to client standards and design guidelines.
Develop and maintain Informatica PowerCenter solutions Version 9.5.1 and 9.6.1.
Leverage Informatica PowerCenter /Power Exchange, DWH processes and concepts, performance tuning techniques, etc.
Work with 3rd party vendors in getting the data into a client database
REQUIRED:
5+ years experience in the IT industry with hands-on continuous work experience in developing end to end Business Intelligence solutions (ETL, reports, dashboards, scorecards) preferably using Informatica and Tableau.
5+ years of primary Experience with Database development using SQL.
3+ years of experience with architecting complex solutions using Informatica.
Requires experience on Oracle Development Suite (SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Trigger, Function, Procedure / Package Definition)
