Very Strong "Sr SAP Hana Platform Engineer Consultant” will play a key pivotal role in operations, administration, & management of one or more SAP Hana, DS, SLT Data Platform as well as instrumental in rapidly growing/expanding Adobe SAP Hana, DS, SLT Data Platform Echo System by successful execution of various proof-of-technology of emerging Data Platform features and solutions

Bachelor''s or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology or Engineering/Related Field
7-10+ Years Of strong SAP/HANA Data Platform experience.
Strong Experience on administration and management of large-scale SAP HANA production clusters on Bare metal, Public Cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS) like AWS (Strongly preferred), Rackspace, OpenStack, GCE, etc.
Able to deploy SAP HANA cluster, add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster, configure high availability, schedule and configure and take backups.
Strong Experience Setting Up large scale Data Platform Cluster On Cloud
Strong Experience with SAP Hana, Hortonworks (HDP) or Cloudera (CDH) DS Distribution and Core DS Echo System components: MapReduce and HDFS
Strong Experience with SAP Hana or Data Services (DS) cluster management/administration/operations using Oozie, Yarn, Ambari, Zookeeper, Tez, Slider
Strong Experience with SAP Hana or Data Services (DS) Security & Governance using Ranger, Knox, Falcon, Security Concepts-Best Practices
Strong Experience with SAP Hana or Data Services (DS) ETL/Data Ingestion: Sqoop, Flume, Hive, Spark, Hbase
Experience in Real Time Data Ingestion using Kafka, Storm, Spark or Complex Event Processing (CEP) would be a plus
Optional Experience in Data Services (DS) Data Consumption and Other Components: Hive, Hue HBase, Phoenix, Spark, Mahout, Pig, Impala, Presto
Optional Prior working experience with AWS - any or all of EC2, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS
Experience monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning services and applications and operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system''s capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks.
Experience with open source configuration management and deployment tools such as Puppet or Chef and Scripting using Python/Shell/Perl/Ruby/Bash/PowerShell
Be able to read java code, and basic coding/scripting ability in Java, Perl, Ruby, C#, and/or PHP
Experience running and troubleshooting Core Java applications. Java and/or C#, PHP, Server Side Javascript programming background would be useful.
Good understanding of distributed computing environments
Strong Linux system administration, database development administration skill: SQL/Relational, noSQL: Column/Graph/Object/Key-Value Based
Networking (DNS, TCP/IP) and Exposure to Virtualization (VMware, Xen, Hypervisor)
Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
Monitoring tools like Nagios, Munin, Zenoss, etc.
Release Engineering tools like Maven, Jenkins, etc.
Good written and verbal communication skills with a strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer facing environment

Responsible for setup, administration, monitoring, tuning, optimizing, governing Large Scale SAP Hana/DS/SLT Clusters and Platform components :On-Premise/Cloud to meet high availability/uptime requirements.
Design & implement new components and various emerging technologies in SAP Hana, Data Services (DS), SLT Echo System, and successful execution of various Proof-Of-Technology (PoT)
Collaborate with various cross functional teams: infrastructure, network, database, application for various activities: deployment new hardware/software, environment, capacity uplift etc.
Work with various teams to setup new SAP Hana, DS, SLT users, security and platform governance
Create and executive capacity planning strategy process for the SAP Hana, Data Services (DS), SLT platform
Work on cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Ganglia, Nagios, Cloudera Manager Enterprise, Ambari etc.
Performance tuning of SAP Hana, Data Services (DS), SLT clusters and various SAP Hana, DS, SLT components and routines.
Monitor job performances, file system/disk-space management, cluster & database connectivity, log files, management of backup/security and troubleshooting various user issues.

Harden the cluster to support use cases and self-service in 24x7 model and apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to on critical, highly complex customer problems
Contribute to the evolving Data Platform architecture of our services to meet changing requirements for scaling, reliability, performance, manageability, and price.
Setup monitoring and alerts for the Data Platform cluster, creation of dashboards, alerts, weekly status report for uptime, usage, issue, etc.
Design, implement, test and document performance benchmarking strategy for platform as well for each use cases
Act as a liaison between the Data Platform cluster administrators and the Data Platform application development team to identify and resolve issues impacting application availability, scalability, performance, and data throughput.
Research Data Platform user issues in a timely manner and follow up directly with the customer with recommendations and action plans
Work with project team members to help propagate knowledge and efficient use of Data Platform tool suite and participate in technical communications within the team to share best practices and learn about new technologies and other ecosystem applications
Automate deployment and management of Data Platform services including implementing monitoring
Drive customer communication during critical events and participate/lead various operational improvement initiatives
