Job Description::
Must Haves :: Java & Spring boot, AWS, Angular 2 or higher, and NoSQL.
Project/Team details:
Working as Sr. JAVA developer on pricing and analytics team
o Current landscape and acquiring other companies and looking to consolidate the codes (from excel spreadsheets etc and the object of this project is to standardize the pricing and set up a tool to use everywhere
o Analytics to consolidate and standardize and then seen the data of how those work with customers (what price were we able to deliver at etc
o Platform to be up and running in 6 months and then growing out from there
Team of 7-10 developers
Agile/scrum environment they are going to right now
Experience level:
Senior-level
7 + years of experience with JAVA (Spring)
3+ years of NoSQL
3+ years with Javascript & other UI and at least some experience with Angular 2+ (newer tech)
Top Technologies:
JAVA & Spring boot (Need Enterprise-level experience)
Cloud AWS
Angular 2 or higher
NoSQL Database (Cassandra preferred)
Other Techs:
Microservices
REST Web services
Strong DevOps exposure if not hands on knowledge (containers, debugging, understanding of deployment, etc. – any knowledge of Docker is helpful)
Key Responsibilities:
Design, development, peer review, test and document complex software projects in an agile workflow, in accordance with World Fuel Services standards.
Evaluate and provide technical solutions to complex application development problems.
Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and look for ways to implement new ideas to continually improve your projects.
Job Requirements:
Working knowledge of Java, Spring, and Web Services (Rest)
Working knowledge with Extensible Markup Language (XML) and JSON data constructs.
Working knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies.
Working knowledge of NoSQL, preferably Cassandra
Working knowledge of Angular 2 and/or JavaScript, calling structures, GET and POST, both synchronously and asynchronously.
Commitment to understanding the business domain.
Commitment to incorporating quality software practices into all phases of the project lifecycle.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
Team player with very good communication skills.
Self-motivated professional who demonstrates strong technical agility and responsiveness. Eager to learn and grow within a technical organization.
Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in software development using modern tools and languages such as Java.
Strong recent experience with the Java, SQL and Web Services
Strong recent experience with JavaScript and jQuery
Strong recent experience with NoSQL (Cassandra)
Experience with Cloud computing (AWS) is a big plus.
Experience with AngularJS is a plus.
Experience with software practices of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and automated testing is a plus.
Education:
BS in Computer Science or related discipline.
Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements:
Infrequent travel of short to moderate duration.
