Job Title : Performance Engineer
Work Location : 1435 Lakecook Road, Deerfield, IL
Duration of assignment : 12 months
Relevant Experience : 14-16 years in IT
Mandatory
Work with teams to define, build out, and take ownership of features and projects related to data engineering
Partner with cross-cutting teams to ensure a complete end to end customer experience
Tackle complex engineering challenges. From designing reliable services in a distributed system to automating rules and regulations
Research and recommend technologies that will:
Enhance team performance
Improve project delivery times
Decrease developer overhead
Build lean proof-of-concepts that will drive customer impact through validated learning
Coordinate
Project preparations
Detailed specifications
Code and system reviews
Collaborate
Cultivate team through such practices as pair programming
Actively create transparency around project progress and ensure timely completion
Performance Analysis, Recommendation and Tuning
Performance Test Data strategy creation
Desirable
Self-motivated and excellent attention to detail focused on execution
User first approach, comfortable with rapid iterations
Experience with retail data is a plus
Experience with modeling a data warehouse and building a data pipeline
Experience with big data platforms
Experience building analytical models on a big data platform
Strong programming skills (experience with our technical stack, Python/R is a plus but not required)
Advanced SQL programming skills
