Job Description:
1. Serve as part of a 2-3 person shift of systems and network operations administrators responsible for monitoring all corporate systems
2. Identify, diagnose, and resolve incidents which impact or threaten service availability
3. Help in the engineering effort to improve monitoring coverage and depth
4. Configure and maintain appropriate network event management systems
5. Help maintain corporate services and infrastructure through updates, upgrades, changes, documentation, and other duties as may be required from time to time
6. Work with internal and external teams to coordinate maintenance, identify and resolve problems, and ensure high end-user network quality
7. Responding within agreed time limits as a resolver for issues raised with the Service Desk
8. Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
9. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
10. Talking to staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the telephone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
11. Deployment/troubleshooting of Phones (desk, mobiles, Cisco Wireless Devices, Conference), troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
12. Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
13. Supporting the roll-out of new applications
14. Supporting audio visual systems and services including video conferencing
15. Working continuously on a task or problem until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
16. Working under supervision in the prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
17. Testing and evaluating new technology

Experience/Skills Required
1. IT related qualification with at least 5 years’ experience as a Systems engineer in the bio-pharma industry.
2. Strong technical skills with appropriate Microsoft accreditations.
3. Must have experience with Virtual servers, Active Directory, Office365, Azure Cloud services / SSO, Cisco Networking hardware and a solid understanding of infrastructure.
4. Experience with Cisco UCS and Audio/Video Conferencing capabilities.
5. Experience with network performance and infrastructure monitoring systems
6. Power Shell scripting a must.
7. Experience of service level management.
8. Competency with internet, mobile technologies, cloud and ITaaS Solutions.
9. Organizational skills to be able to manage a personal workload and prioritize activities.
10. Interpersonal skills required to interact successfully with end users and third parties as well as fellow team members.
11. Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
12. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to gain respect of end users and third parties
13. Demonstrable ability to think logically and creatively while applying sound judgment
