IT Security Project Manager in Pharma – has to have GXP, pharma experience

Role Summary
The right contract candidate will be seasoned Senior IT Security Project Manager who has, at a minimum 8 years, actual executing Project Management Pharma IT experience (GxP Experience) inclusive of strong PM core skills, IT Security Identity Management foundational technical knowledge, RFP/ POC/Contract Management process knowledge, and Communication and Stakeholder Management experience, and good administration skills. This individual is self driven has well developed judgement and foresight to predict potential issues and mitigates, takes initiative, and driving for results with little support from other PM team members or IT Lead. This person will need to be able to work in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment, yet, bring organization and control to the projects they manage. The IT QSC Portfolio is working on very highly visible projects in support of our ITLT member in the IT Security Domain.

This candidate will also be an IT Project Manager who would be “accountable” and lead one or several projects from inception through completion, while adhering to project scope, schedule, quality and budget. The Project Manager must possess strong communication skills and must be savvy working with both technology and business partners across the organization in a collaborative way.

The Project Manager ensures proper project planning and design, scope management, coordination of team assignment and mobilization, coordination of work efforts, monitoring of project deliverables, quality/gate reviews and issue identification, escalation and resolution, coordinating the development, testing, installation, transition to production operations and post-implementation reviews including the planning and coordination of the non-technical aspects of the project that involves organization change management, training and adoption of the solution.
This role is accountable to the PMO for independent project status reporting and for applying relevant “project management” practices that are consistent with GPS standards and Governance requirements.
Responsibilities
Business Engagement
Participates in business customer briefings, project planning and scoping discussions with project management strategies and engage in project initiation consultations as required
Provides timely delivery updates, and problem–solving, responsive resolution of project issues
Solution Development
Leads front-end studies and Request for Proposal/Information RFP/RFI process for projects as required and work closely across business and IT teams to drive effective selection of delivery and solutions partners
Plans, develops and executes effective project kick-offs to properly launch project teams and project steering
Ensures effective project design and planning by leading/facilitating project design sessions to ascertain scope and requirements including providing project delivery strategies and an integrated project master plan
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables and manage scope changes with portfolio/project steering
Establishes and manages project/portfolio steering project updates
Provides project risk and mitigation plan as appropriate if relevant – escalate
Develops project plan and schedule
Monitors and ensures project is on schedule or escalate or problem-solve or secure approvals for change
Develops project budget, track variance and escalate accordingly with recommended corrective actions
Ensures compliance with The Client IT Finance management and reporting requirements though appropriate adoption of financial management processes and reporting
Monitors and ensures within budget or escalate or secure approvals for change
Develops plan with respective leads to include all other work-streams – business, training, change management
Manages the interdependencies between key work-streams
Ensures work-stream leads are on track or report variance
Develops resource plan to support project requirements
Manages project resources allocation, work to secure Business and IT resources
Develops project stakeholder management and communications plan
Monitors Business Stakeholder concerns and issues
Ensures project satisfies end-use quality requirement
Provides project status and timely reporting – independent assessment of project health
Ensures project is delivered to Business and into production as per agreed upon scope
Manages and ensures proper transition of project to operations
Coordinates project completion review
Ensures that appropriate and relevant PMO acceptable processes and procedures are applied in compliance with The Client IT Governance requirements – incorporating all required processes and procedures
Partners with the vendor management to review and approve SOW of vendors, create Purchase Requisitions or provide input as approval thread, ensure contract agreements are defined and adhered to and also to provide timely vendor feedback and escalate any variance or performance issues to Delivery Lead
Ensures effective user change management strategy and planning to assure optimal user adoption of resulting project solution
Partners effectively with Quality Security Compliance QSC to ensure that all necessary QSC deliverables are in compliance with The Client Standard Operation Procedure SOPs on testing, validation, security assurance requirements and standards
Applies effective project management methods and processes, project related artifacts, deliverables and documentation, as relevant and appropriate, consistent with The Client IT GPS
Deploys and provides training to project team in appropriate project management methodologies, process, procedures and standards in the context of the System Lifecycle SLC to ensure alignment with the IT SOP and IT delivery processes for effective solution delivery
