The candidate will have significant experience leading and executing ETRM systems implementations and upgrades in the Energy Trading business area such as Allegro, Openlink-Endur, etc. The role will entail taking significant responsibility for conceptualizing and delivering activities for technological solutions that will help the business achieve its objectives. The candidate will be proactive, have strong stakeholder management skills, excellent communication skills and be a pragmatic problem-solver.
The IT Project Manager will interact with IT Services areas (BAs/PMs/Architects) to obtain the necessary support in the analysis, design and development of projects undertaken. The role will engage and collaborate effectively with North America business stakeholders, as their IT business partner, and with IT colleagues in Canada, United States and Spain to assure IT services align to the company’s overall strategy and value drivers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop business case conceptualizations to help achieve the strategic business objectives including the definition of value measurements metrics to validate that expected benefits would achieve.
Align the local project activities with the central team’s efforts to take advantage of synergies between the different businesses that the team supports and within the IT trading group.
Provide a status report to the stakeholders and project committee.
Participate in the business requirements gathering that will be used for functional and technical design analysis.
Build, monitor and report project budget including annual recurrent cost post implementation.
Identify, assess and help prioritize the needs of the Trading business (requirements) for the effective development of projects (term, acceptance of the proposal, progress, etc ensuring a correct understanding by the rest of the IT organization.
Participate and ensure proper execution of projects led by other areas of IT, guaranteeing consistency with existing business processes and participating in the relationship with the rest of stakeholders involved.
Maintain communication with the business, promoting forms of collaborative / trust work, managing change and informing and facilitating decision-making to help achieve the objective of adding value.
As IT representative and trusted advisor, actively manage relationship with business teams to represent IT matters in business forums, be informed of business activities and share relevant information with colleagues in other IT areas.
Maintain communication with external service providers, coordinating the execution of tasks in the form and term to ensure quality service.
Work with business stakeholders to facilitate business change management as required to implement new or evolved services successfully.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (minimum 8 years undergraduate) preferably in Computer Science or Information Management.
Project Management experience minimum 10 years is a must have with proof experience on ETRM systems implementation and PMP certification is desirable.
A strong grasp and understanding of Gas Energy Trading business with proven 8-10 years of ETRM, this experience is essential preferably in Allegro.
Experience of having worked on large implementation projects as Project Manager.
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, analytical and some technical skills with the ability to design solutions and troubleshoot issues.
Experience in the management and delivery of issue resolution, end user training and requirements gathering.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required (Spanish language skills are nice to
