Description
The Associate IT Project Manager II reports to the IT Store Systems Manager as part of the Information Technology team, to provide analysis of user requests and development of well-defined, documented requirements for new systems and modifications to existing systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with retail store IT infrastructure.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills in order to communicate effectively with both the technical team and business stakeholders.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Work with IT/Business to identify, define and document business case and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
Assist in the development project proposals & charters including compiling the relevant project data & information for documentation & presentations.
Create project plans, schedules, and build budgets.
Identify and document current state process, system, and data flows.
Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.
Define future state requirements and perform gap analysis.
Actively participates in identifying system impacts, defining high level solutions and facilitating work effort estimation on Project or Store Systems Enhancement requests.
Partner with IT teams to document requirements and associated technical specifications.
Define transition/training plan for hand-off to appropriate production support teams.
Ensure compliance with internal controls/governance.
Acts as a liaison between IT and Business in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of IT systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
Develop comprehensive process scenarios/test scripts, track progress, and drive issue resolution during various testing cycles.
Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents business rules, functions and requirements.
Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
Directs or participates in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility, resolve problems including organizational, procedural, and technical.
Develops policy and procedures to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or improve internal and external customer service.
Monitor and track the project budget & schedule.
Provide necessary project status reports to management.
Report the project budget and schedule throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure the project success criteria are completed for each assigned project.
Coordinate team resources and distribute responsibilities to successfully delivery project objectives.
Support the project procurement process by obtaining quotes, creating purchase orders with the necessary management approvals, purchase equipment, and pay vendors in a timely manner.
Work independently on specific project assigned to ensure proper coordination from project initiation to completion.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent year-for-year experience preferred.
1 – 3 years IT infrastructure experience.
Prefer experience as a Business Analyst/Project Manager on Infrastructure IT projects.
Familiar with the Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.
Good understanding IT infrastructure processes, system flows, and ability to consider implications to current and future state environment.
Strong analytical and problem solving.
Attention to detail.
Must be a self-starter and be able work well in fast paced, dynamic environment.
Proficient planning, time management, & organizational skills.
Ability to gather, monitor and document business requirements & process flows.
Ability to decide, act, and influence others.
Ability to lead on-site, off-site, employee, and contractor project teams.
Solid verbal and written communication skills including the ability to provide clear, constructive direction and feedback to team members.
Working ability to remain effective under stress, and respond to pressure in a manner acceptable to others and the organization.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Establish healthy working relationships within the organization and external partners.
Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing priorities with promptness, efficiency and ease.
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to take little direction and achieve quality results independently.
Retail industry experience preferred.
