Overview:
Working knowledge of Oracle CIS systems such as PeopleSoft and CC&B, MDM is a plus Utility experience is desirable.
Comprehensive Data file paths, file structures and DFS o Enterprise Scheduler Control-M preferred - Windows 7/8/ LINUX/ UNIX
General knowledge of scripting languages (Perl/ PowerShell)
General knowledge of application portfolio including MDM, billing processes and payment vendor processing
Ability to serve as a 24x7x365 operations team member;
Ability to work rotating shifts and call-outs
Ability to create and maintain on-line documentation and technical standards
Ability to support a variety of technologies, business departments and systems while independently resolving problems and pro-actively communicating solutions
Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Monitoring Infrastructure systems (VMware, Websense, Trend-Micro, SolarWinds, SCOM)
Technical certificate or Associate’s degree in Programming, Computer Science or related area of study
Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience with software applications, operating systems and/or script programming
Responsibilities:
85% of this position is running and monitoring the 24x7x365 job run schedule for enterprise involving enterprise scheduler, ftp''s with 15% monitoring infrastructure this ensures that critical business applications are operational and the health of the infrastructure is not compromised.
Serve as a 24x7x365 operations team member.
Person will train on 1st Shift; and work shift will rotate after that and consist primarily of 2nd/3rd shift and weekend/holidays.
Ability to be flexible and very detail oriented is key to success.
Primary Functions:
Monitor and verify production batch jobs, Enterprise scheduler job and file transfers; analyze FTP logs, troubleshoot problems, cancel/ rerun new batch jobs, and ensure the 24 hours job process SLA’s are met
Test new hardware/ software and new business processes in test/ dev/ UAT environments before production
maintain testing turnover for major projects, as required
Create and maintain documentation, shift turnover and event turnover for the team and other IT partners
Provide peer review and technical oversight over data center 24 hour processes schedules
Perform and maintain analysis to support enterprise health reporting
Mentor junior or other members of operations to enhance their understanding and abilities to support production processes

24x7x365 environment.
The person will train on 1st shift and work around 40-50 hours a week.
