Description:
Manage and lead the operations functions, including, but not limited to, technology infrastructure and technical support. This role is both hands-on and supervisory/ managerial in nature.
Responsible for streamlining technology services within business units, proposing and adhering to policies and procedures, identifying problems; evaluating trends and anticipating requirements.
Implementation, deployment and operation of network and information systems across multiple locations. Manages Company’s on-site technology operations.
Manages the private and public cloud components of Company''s technology operations. Manages the Company co-located data center.
Proposes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements.
Responsible for set up and maintenance of all infrastructure and end-user components.
Maintains network and evaluates network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing equipment.
Proposes network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. Responsible for set up and maintenance of VPN access for company and users.
Manage third party vendors and IT related projects. Experience in managing and leading technology initiatives during mergers and acquisitions.
Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented. Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
Sustains information systems results by defining, delivering, and supporting information systems; auditing application of systems. Revamp systems that are inefficient to ensure robust functions which align with business needs.
Supervises Company’s on-site technology operations staff (system admins, support personnel Assists in creating and maintaining company website and intra-net site.
Enhance information systems results by identifying information systems technology opportunities and developing application strategies. Maintains quality service by establishing organization standards.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in the information technology field. Experience in healthcare and/ or biosciences is highly desirable.
5+ years of experience installing and supporting LAN, WAN, servers, technology security, and telecommunication network systems.
Experience with public and private cloud (Azure, Oracle) is required.
ITIL certification is desirable. Working knowledge of COBIT desirable. Working knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, SOX, PCI is highly desirable. Microsoft Server certifications highly desirable.
Linux knowledge is desirable. Working knowledge of ShoreTel or other phone system is desirable, experience with other VoIP systems is desirable.
Working knowledge of SharePoint and Active Directory is required.
Ability to travel to other company locations. Travel up to 35% of the time.
