Position : IT Manager

Location : Longmont, CO

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The IT Manager is responsible for supporting day to day operations of the IT needs within the CANarchy organization. This includes the company’s computer, internet, software and network security needs as well as server and desktop support and business system support. Will be responsible for developing and executing IT policies and meeting business objectives for improved operating efficiencies, quality control and security controls.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Develop and manage an IT policy, create system wide standards, policies and procedures

Explore areas of improvement for opportunity in business application, infrastructure and security

Forecast costs, equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs as required and related to MIS operations

Ensure proper management of company IT functions and initiatives

Enforce company policies and procedures as a member of management for all employees

Manage quality control, schedule and cost objectives using established processes

Maintain ownership and accountability of all IT services

Manage problems and troubleshoot IT issues. See them through until resolution is achieved

Establish communication protocol and escalation of maintenance and production issues

Research and establish best practices for IT equipment purchases and contracts across the company platform

Manage IT equipment, including inventory control, employee usage and maintenance

Maintain adequate security practices and ensure ongoing updates are taking place as needed

Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology and remain highly technically competent at all levels of data processing while striving for enhanced user productivity through implementation of new software technology
where applicable and ongoing support and training

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Excellent technical capacity, including information analysis and computer hardware/software systems

Strong communication skills

Strong focus on teamwork and ability to work with a team on strategic planning. Offering support to all users with a purpose of troubleshooting, training and problem solving

Expertise in data center management and data governance

Proven thoroughness and organizational skills

Ability to work autonomously and showcase decision making abilities

Working directly with hardware, including computer networks, network administration and network installation

Ability to work in varying locations and atmospheres, including office environments, restaurants and breweries

Frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger dexterity

May be required to travel to varying locations within the CANarchy platform

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS or related field

5 years’ working experience in related field

3-5 years management experience preferred
