Required Skills:


This position is a 40-hour work week but may occasionally be required to work extended hours

· Understanding of business processes, systems, organizational structure, and industry requirements

· Three (3) years’ experience managing IT assets inventory and/or shipping & receiving

· Ability to use critical thinking skills to find more efficient ways of doing things, make recommendations, and collaborate to be a change agent for continuous process improvement

· Ability to demonstrate leadership experience and abilities (i.e. organizational and motivational)

· Knowledge of safety and security work rules and regulations

· Able to balance multiple assignments and report time spent on all work activities

· Flexible, dependable and able to work in a team environment

· Strong communication skills (verbal & writing) are extremely important in this position

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

· Ability to compute rate, ratios and percent

· Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Ability to use/learn the State’s IT Asset Management System and Service Now for package tracking

· Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs

· Ability to use a pallet jack

· Ability to prepare pallets of equipment for removal from facility following established standards

Job Description:

This purpose of this position is to assist with supporting and advancing the State of Ohio’s Customer Service efforts to provide exceptional managed services at an enterprise level to OIT Customers. This begins with following guidelines and processes that’s needed to fulfill business needs.

Under the direction of his/her manager, the Dock Coordinator collaborates with cross-functional co-workers to provide the best possible service to the customers through timely and safe movement of parcels throughout the system, in accordance with State of Ohio policies and procedures.

Assist State employee worker to perform the following duties:

· Track and document expected volume of IT assets by managing shipments/packages from the dock Develop appropriate functional and usability standards for IT Assets and Inventory Management

· Place asset tags on State IT equipment, equipment & inventory and deliver to appropriate location

· Provide inventory asset support and provide accurate and complete answers to detailed questions in a timely manner.

· Confirm processes and procedures will support changes required to manage IT assets and inventory.

· Effectively manage IT Inventory & Assets processes, procedures and enter data in asset management database.

· Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting the management of IT inventory and assets. Develop contingency plans as necessary.

· Complete manual receiving process and enter accurate data in the IT Asset Management system for IT assets including equipment to be retired, transferred, or salvaged

· Coordinate, process and move State IT equipment, salvage, supplies or State records

· Assess & define assigned employee training needs and participate in on-the-job & new hire training

· Coordinate moves with moving company

Work with IT Asset/Inventory Team and/or Facilities Manager to perform the following duties:

· Prioritize and schedule work assignments to meet organizational performance standards

· Receive and deliver heavy materials and supplies

· Move/relocate, erect or set up various items as required

· Communicate and obtain productivity and quality goals

· Address equipment malfunctions and/or immediately notify major and potential problems to the Maintenance Department

· Ensure compliance with all safety and security work rules and regulations, and the maintenance of departmental housekeeping standards

· Complete audits and asset inventory for quality and safety as needed

· Investigate missing pallets or errors in tracking records and documentation

· Accurately complete required paperwork, records, and documents for inventory and quality checks

· Ensure organizational/departmental compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies

· When required, participate and attend staff meetings, planning meetings and conference calls

· Occasionally assist as needed with moving furniture, parcels and other items outside of the dock environment within the building under the request of the Facilities Manager

· Perform other duties as assigned
