Title: AWS Solution Architect
Duration: 3 years on W2/1099/ C2C
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Description:
Client is in the process of implementing a new Security Operations Centre (SOC) program and a set of cyber security tools and services to support the SOC and the State''s overall cyber security posture. The Client seeks a consultant with strong network and systems engineering expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services. The personnel will configure and install the network, systems, and software of a security solutions environment to prevent, protect, detect and response capabilities against threats in real time.
Responsibilities
Design, build, secure and maintain infrastructure on AWS environment.
Migrate/Integrate existing systems identified by CDT to AWS cloud.
Write scripts to automate operations and server management.
Maintain QA (Quality Assurance) and Production configuration using automation tools.
Build and maintain operations tools for monitoring, notifications, trending and analysis.
Define, create, test, and execute operations procedures.
Troubleshoot production issues.
Install OS (Operating System) updates/hotfixes/patches/service packs.
Work with CDT staff to automate builds and software deployments to QA and production.
Maintain and enhance the continuous integration and deployment environment.
Document current and future configuration processes and policies.
Mandatory Qualifications:
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience within the past three (3) years performing hands-on AWS configuration, maintenance, administration, and development services for a large (i.e.,10+ Production Hosts) deployment
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience within the past five (5) years performing systems engineering services for a large datacentre environment using at least two or more physical and virtual system platforms (e.g., Linux, VMWare, Hyper-V, AWS, Windows Server, etc.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience within the past five (5) years performing baseline data collection, analysis and reporting for large, complex organizations similar to California, preferably state or federal government.
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect with focus on AWS and/or Azure ecosystems, and experience building High-Availability or High Traffic cloud infrastructure/environment.
