IT Engineer

We're looking for an IT Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join a solid team in Atlanta, GA. If you enjoy Hardware and Software Tech Support, then this could be the position for you!

As an IT Engineer, you will:

Manage IT projects through to completion with support of the team
Administer, maintain, and perform upgrades to IT systems and applications
Review, analyze, and evaluate IT systems operations
Respond within defined SLA metrics to issues in the logged ticketing system
Monitor and resolve system and software related issues
Improve network and internet/intranet performance
Install new software releases and system upgrades
Evaluate and install patches
Maintain data files
Monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity
Analyze and assess organizations current and future LAN/WAN needs
Recommend upgrades/changes and security procedures and policies
Work with vendors on complex problems
Assist with software and hardware installation, monitoring, security, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrade, and patching activities for: Windows 10, 8, 7 client operating systems, Microsoft Office, Dell KACE, Anti-virus application and virus definitions, Adobe Products, Imaging, Network Access, VPN, Printers and Phones
Maintain detailed and up-to-date licenses and hardware/software inventory
Maintain system documentation
On call rotation after hours for equipment and software problems

Job Requirements for IT Engineer:

5+ years of experience in Systems and Network Administration
5+ years of experience with IT technologies required to diagnose and solve problems related to windows based infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VLAN, Routing, Firewall, VPN)
Proxy, IIS, Windows based servers experience
Cloud and Virtualization technologies exp.
Excellent analytical and problems solving skills
Ability to handle multi-task,
Ability to work with little supervision
Strong experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting and resolving issues with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, MS Exchange, Office365, Hardware and software including mobile devices and Networking and connectivity issues
Experience documenting systems, system specifications and/or training material
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Must be interested in learning new technologies and taking on new tasks
Highly energetic and positive attitude with a customer service mentality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree (or Computer related field), MS certifications, CompTIA A+ or Network+ preferred
