Job Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Deskside Analyst role is a member of the Houston based US IT Services group, reporting directly to the Lead, Houston IT Deskside Services. The main responsibilities will be to manage US operating system images, software packages, desktop equipment and application inventory through well known tools. The person in this position will work with L3/L4 teams in Repsol s Central Services teams in Madrid to maintain and test group policies, patches and changes to the desktop environment.

Responsibilities:

* Working with other IT team members in US and provide local support to L3/L4 teams in Madrid
* Plan and execute the rollout of all Operating System and application security updates and software deployments
* Active Directory / GPO administrative support
* SCCM administration and Software packaging for desktops
* Provide detailed reporting using SCCM, PowerShell, Excel and other tools on various aspects of workstation status and management
* Assist L3/L4 Windows OS deployment and automated build processes, including system-state migrations, re-imaging and performance tuning
* Security Management Patch Management and group policies
* Perform system maintenance activities, including monitoring parameters, maintaining security/quality assurance and controlling access
* Work folder and Direct access administration
* Respond to user requests and system operation issues, provide assistance to programming and operations personnel in the utilization of software and resolution of user or systems problems
* Assist with Help Desk service requests as needed (typically dealing with end user support as related to network drive access, printer management, Active Directory administration, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and email)
* Minor network configuration
* Minor support Datacenter infrastructure (UPS, CRAC, etc) support
* Minor Audio/Visual infrastructure support
* Storage and Backup operation and maintenance
* 24x7 on call availability for L2/L3 support for US Operations on a rotation basis

Qualifications:

* 3+ years of hands on in-depth SCCM and desktop engineering knowledge in design and support of systems that support 1,000+ users
* Experience with scripting (PowerShell, VBScript or other languages) and automating routine infrastructure tasks
* Experience with Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 7/8/10), print servers, printers & MFDs, plotters, Java, Adobe, Internet Explorer, MS Office and other standard desktop applications
* Ability to create presentable reports using SCCM, PowerShell, Excel and other tools
* Bachelor degree in Computer or related area
* Enterprise server infrastructure management
* Customer Service Focused
* SCCM environment deployment
* Cloud services experience
* Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and highly demanding environment
* Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certifications
* Microsoft Certified Specialist (MCS) -> desirable
* VCA, CCA or similar certification current -> Minimum
* MTA or MCSA certification
