Job Title : IT Business intelligence Analyst

Duration: 12 + month contract

The Business Intelligence Center of Excellence is accountable to deliver and support analytics and reporting services that enable insight into Delphi’s products, operations, customers, and processes. The BI COE provides strategic, analytical, and technical support for business intelligence activities to deliver on the core values of Innovation, Collaboration, and Excellence.
The Business Analyst is the primary contact with the division business personnel and interfaces to the technical community accountable for planning the delivery of enhancements and ongoing operational support of Analytics as a Service (AaaS Primary responsibilities include working with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using standard tools and models) from which BI applications and solutions are developed. The Business Analyst also supports proper consumption and insight generation inside business organizations.

Partner with business SMEs and IT client-facing teams to elicit and document business requirements for new and/or enhanced analytics capabilities (reports)
Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements
Balance teaching, tailoring, and asserting standards during interactions with business partners
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
Partner with Data Architects to evaluate alternate solutions and design processes and systems that include user impact considerations, cost and benefit analysis, and processing specifications
Use current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements to increase the value of insights generated
Partner with architecture and solution delivery teams to enable BI applications that have long-term value
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and work with customers to uncover unmet business needs
Proactively recommend opportunities to improve, expand, or retire existing analytics capabilities and reports
Contribute to lessons learned and the continuous improvement of IT

Experince Required:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experiences and characteristics:

Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment
Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes
Deep knowledge and experience with analytics technologies in a large enterprise setting (Qlikview, Business Objects, and others)
Demonstrated detail orientation
Experience facilitating workshops with small and large groups
Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate to multiple stakeholders, including client management, IT management, and non-technical staff
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-intensity, multi-project environment, with the ability to multi-task
Experience and comfort interfacing with all levels of management and internal and external customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously towards a goal
Exposure to ITIL and/or other structured service management methodologies
3+ years of business analysis related experience or commensurate, demonstrated expertise
3+ years of analytics domain experience or commensurate, demonstrated expertise.
