Job Summary:
Supports the organization''s key business processes, applications, and IT infrastructure and recommends business process redesign where applicable. Gathers and documents business requirements for large, complex projects. Translates requirements into business, functional, and technical design documents. Provides functional and technical expertise to project stakeholders during the design and construction phases of projects. Assists, when needed, with developing and executing system test plans, conditions, test scripts, and test cases. Maintains business systems standards by applying project management methods, tools and processes as standard practice, Prepares and delivers informative, well-organized presentations and project status reviews to stakeholders including process owners, customers and stakeholders
Major Responsibilities:
Continuously monitoring and analyzing potential impacts to requirements and technical scope
Acts as a primary liaison between technical staff, vendors, and IT management. This includes supporting the organization''s policies and standards
Gathers and documents requirements for projects with sufficient detail to design, implement, and support approved solutions.
Provides expertise to technical staff during the design and development phases of a project
Develops test plans, test scripts, and test cases and validates test results
Prepares and delivers, well-organized presentations to stakeholders including process owners, technical staff and stakeholders
Knowledge:
Capacity and Datacenter Management
Networks (LANs/WANs)
Servers (Unix/Windows)
Database Administration (SQL/Oracle)
Storage (NAS/SAN)
IT Security
Telecom
Application Deployment and Support
Virtualization i.e. vSphere
Keen interest in understanding new technologies and solving problems.
Formal training and/or designation related to business analysis.
Skills:
Excellent analytical, multi-tasking, organizational and project management skills.
Solid communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and clients both at a high-level (“big picture”) and at a detailed-level (“technical”
Proven track record of working with staff at all levels within an organization.
Effective presentation, documentation and report writing skills.
Must have experience on projects working with Server and Storage consolidation.
Abilities:
Ability to develop productive business relationships with internal team members through cooperation, courtesy, and professionalism.
Ability to play an integral part in project delivery given tight constraints and uncompromising quality
