Degree Required: Yes, Undergraduate, 4-year degree in either Information Systems, Engineering or Business Marketing
Years’ Experience: 5+ proven experience as an IT Business Analyst with relevant experience in E&P and/or Downstream business
Role Description: Reporting to the US IT Manager, US in the IT Business Value Services function, the successful candidate will be responsible for shaping, defining and designing IT solutions with our business partners and managing the project portfolio within their respective client group.
As a contract IT Business Analyst, the candidate should have at least 5 years proven experience in business / IT systems analysis in the oil and gas industry (E&P and/or Downstream trading You have expertise with in supporting all IT investments (architecture, systems integration, business process improvement) and ideally possess relevant business experience with back office processes, functions, and projects.
Responsibilities:
Build a strong relationship with Repsol’s Houston office business partners by developing an in-depth understanding of the partners' business needs, processes, data, and issues; and firm understanding of how changes in one business unit will affect other areas.
Support the implementation of IT projects; including preparation of business case and cost/benefit analysis. Ensure business benefits are identified and tracked for all IT investment dollars.
Implement assigned project work in accordance with Repsol’s project delivery framework; development and maintain supporting project artifacts as required to fulfill stage gate review requirements.
Business analysis, process analysis, business requirements gathering.
Facilitates business engagement and buy-in to defined solutions.
Develops a lead role in shaping, defining and designing IT solutions with business and managing the project portfolio within scope.
Working within a team of other IT service delivery specialists and ensuring adequate application support, maintenance and solution delivery resources, within corporate standards.
Requirements:
Experience with any of Repsol’s core business applications (i.e. SAP; Allegro; Openlink
Strong business knowledge; experience in the oil and gas business.
Strong understanding of IT best practices for delivering of business solutions.
Strong analytical skills and requirements gathering skills.
Ability to identify and use appropriate analytical tools (e.g., use cases, data flow diagrams, process swim lane
Superior interpersonal behaviors.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required.
Excellent facilitation skills.
At least 5 years proven experience as an IT Business Analyst with relevant experience in E&P and/or downstream business areas.
Undergraduate, 4-year degree in either Information Systems, Engineering or Business Marketing
