Job Description :
Client is seeking a talented IT Asset Management Sr. Project Manager located in San Francisco, CA. This position will be focused on the project management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, upgrades, life cycle planning, data information, database design and management, analytics and costing.
As an Asset Management Project Manager, you will be involved in the project management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, upgrades, life cycle planning, data information, database design and management, analytics and costing.
Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
Require PM to actively manage, engage, own every stage of IT Asset management projects and drive all project related tasks to completion
Project manage the software and hardware of asset management development projects
Manage the data information, Database requirements and analytics of Asset management
Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons
Lead key aspects of the software program, coordinating with development and team members as required
Clearly define and communicating roles, responsibilities and expectations for all members of the project team
Recording, tracking and communicating issues, risks, changes, and status reports within a Client standard tool
Accurately and consistently forecasting project resource, material and contract costs within a standard Client tool(s)
Monitoring critical project milestones, and identifying ways to resolve schedule issues
Assessing project performance and implementing changes as necessary to ensure the projects remains within specified cost, schedule, scope and quality objectives
Communicating status of all projects to stakeholders and management
Skills / Qualifications:
8+ years’ experience as a PM with experience with IT Asset Management or software development
Experience with Remedy technology, BDM and BSM (HP tools) would be helpful
IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience
Knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management
Agile methodology experience
ITSM and SDLC knowledge and experience
Knowledge of best practice asset management procedures
Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to use a personal computer; proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Education / Experience:
Minimum 8 years’ professional experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associates degree or less acceptable with additional experience
