Information Security Analyst
NYC NY
6+ Months Contract
Face to Face Interview – Locals only
Financial Services Company
Minimum 5 years in information security and IT
Note: requires excellent communication skills and a good work history!
Must be able to work in the following:
Daily requests with security issues, incidents and suspicious behavior Incident management Suspicious activity monitoring: anti-virus, Logs, IDS Vulnerability management.
Certifications a plus: CISSP, CISM, SANS etc.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have the following:
Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
o 5 years of experience within an Information Security role.
o 5 years of experience in an IT role.
o Technical knowledge of Information Technology systems and the ability to analyze them for vulnerabilities:
TCP/IP (IP addressing and commonly used port assignments)
Windows, UNIX and Linux Operating Systems
Client-Server applications
Web based applications
Remote Access technologies
Mobile devices
o Knowledge of law and regulations surrounding the financial services sector is a plus
o Knowledge of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery is a plus
o Information Security certification a plus: CISSP, CISM, SANS, etc.
o Programming experience is a plus
Skills:
o Strong analytical skills to determine the key pieces of information required to make informed decisions. The ability to utilize data analysis tools such as MS Excel (e.g. pivot tables, etc
o Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adjust communication style/content to interact with IT and business professionals.
o Excellent written/verbal communication skills
o Project management experience/knowledge, with ability to drive projects to successful completion
o Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, prioritization, organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Understanding of authentication, authorization and auditing
o Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
o Splunk experience strongly desired
