Legacy System Mainframe Analyst/Senior Programmer
Onsite in Groton and/or Norwich, CT
9-12 months
Start Date: May-19

"Position requires a consultant who ideally has experience with Andersen Consulting''s MAC-PAC/D software, which is a legacy MRP II Application used by the customer but more importantly understands and has worked on the legacy technology platform, namely IMS DB/DC, DB2 DB, COBOL, JCL, SAS. Oracle Cloud Suite of Procurement and Supply Chain applications.

The ideal consultant will have strong technical skills and a working knowledge of MRP II processes and systems, and should have technical knowledge of the applications and technology platform (COBOL/JCL/IMS DB/DC, DB2 The consultant will act in a hands on role and be expected to develop technical design documentation, program code and unit test. Consultant will also support Systems Integration Testing as required for break/fix and required enhancements."

"Experience with Andersen Consulting''s MAC-PAC/D software, specifically IC, CMP/RP, RN and PO modules is highly desirable and big plus, but not required
Functional knowledge and experience in manufacturing business processes and supporting systems, Aerospace and Defense highly desirable (i.e. Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Planning & Scheduling, Shop Floor Control, Inventory Control, Procurement)
Experience developing functional and technical designs in a legacy systems environment (15+ years)
Knowledge and experience integrating modern Cloud applications with legacy mainframe IMS DB/DC and DB2 applications (Oracle Cloud integration is a big plus, but not required for this position)"
