Job Description :
Must possess at least 5 years of related, progressive experience in the area of IMS
o Experience of IMS Tools/Utilities (IBM/BMC tool set), Full Function & Fast Path databases.
o Proficiency in using TSO commands and editor, JCL, PROCs, SDSF.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
o Eight (8) years’ experience as IMS DBA
o Knowledge and understanding the use of Plans/Packages/Collections
o Design and definition of database objects
o Experience with the implementation of an application backup/recovery plan
o Knowledge of IMS utilities (IBM and BMC)
o Knowledge of RACF as it relates to IMS
o Strong troubleshooting and problem determination skills
o Experience with more than one database environment and one or more of the following qualifications:
§ Service Manager
§ IMS certification
§ DB2 Z/OS (v10 or higher) and/or DB2 LU
