IBM Middleware/Integration Architect
The successful candidate will work with the Operations and Support team on T2 project to support multiple environments and their business-critical applications / products.
Responsibilities
Buildout and support HA environments on WebSphere MQ and Data Power.
Support a 24 x 7 environment, providing on-call support as needed, with a high degree of responsiveness and sound trouble-shooting methodologies.
Support WebSphere MQ and Data Power products from an environment buildout, configuration automation, configuration migrations and support.
Work with application and technical architecture teams to quickly root cause and isolate issues concerning those environments and provide effective solutions.
Document solution specifications, installation and migration procedures to requests.
Support our existing ticketing system to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Fine tune WebSphere MQ servers and Xi52 Data Power appliances for efficient performance. Work with other administrators for WebSphere Application Servers and Portal Servers to provide optimal solutions.
Provide guidance on automating repeated tasks we perform on a regular basis.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering with at least five years of work experience as an IBM Middleware Stack WebSphere MQ and or Data Power admin.
Working with application developers to fully utilize built in product functionality.
Very good knowledge of UNIX environments and commands.
Installation, Configuration, Migration, Upgrades, Automation and scripting skills.
Experience and or knowledge of the following products - WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Portal, IBM HTTP Servers.
Understanding of middleware and application integrations for both synchronous and asynchronous architectures.
In-depth knowledge of HA & DR setup for WebSphere MQ and Xi52 Data Power appliances.
Experience with middleware automation is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and interface with developers, project managers and production support groups.
Ability to multi-task, strong customer relationship skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
