Job Description for MQ Admin : 5 to 7 years exp.
Experience in designing and implementing middleware solutions using IBM MQ.
IBM MQ environment architecture design, strategy, install, migrate, secure and configure.
Perform strategic analysis of MQ infrastructure and working closely with customers to make recommendations that meet their complex technical and business needs/challenges.
Hands on experience installation, configuration and upgrading IBM MQ version – 7.x, 8.x and 9.x
Capacity analysis and performance tuning of IBM MQ in various environments.
Strong real time experience on Mainframes(AS400/OS390), AIX, Solaris, Linux and Windows.
Experience in designing and implementing messaging solutions into the AWS and IBM Clouds
Designing and implementing OS Clustered environments for IBM MQ on various OS specific platforms using OS Clustering (High Availability – VCS/MSCS etc)
Design, architect and implement multi-version and multi-instance solutions for IBM MQ.
Hands on experience in migrating from IBM MQ 6.x/7.x/8.x to MQ 8.x/9.x across multiple platforms.
UNIX shell/Perl/python scripts that automate the IBM MQ functionalities and troubleshooting issues.
Strong understanding and hands on experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting of IBM MQ clusters.
Experience in designing and implementing MQ FTE solutions across multiple platforms.
Experience in designing and implementing MQ IPT solutions across networks/external vendors.
Perform backup and recovery, patch management, enterprise monitoring
Securing MQ environment using OAM, SSL, AMS and Security exit
Should be able to backup , restore, rebuild and recover IBM MQ Objects.
Strong understanding and hands on experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting IBM MQ Pub / Sub messaging solutions.
Ensure systems remain at operational excellence during infrastructure improvements (hardware/software upgrades server migrations/consolidations, application deployment, etc.
Perform end to end, cross platform, analysis of systems, logs and data through tools for fixing critical/complex production issues and performing RCA
Proven troubleshooting skills to resolve software configuration, connectivity, TCP/IP, integration issues.
Preferred experience in Open VMS systems.
