IBM Cloud Architect/Engineer
Location: Detroit, MI
Length: 3 plus months
Must have prior experience working with customers to move workloads/applications to the IBM cloud.
The Cloud Architect is a new role that will assist moving workloads into the cloud. You will develop and coordinate cloud architecture, develop a cloud strategy, and coordinate the adoption process. You will serve as the subject matter expert for IBM cloud transformation and must have a deep understanding of cloud architecture, adoption patterns, and cloud providers.
MUST HAVE:
Prior experience moving workloads/applications to the IBM cloud
10+ years of experience in creating and managing enterprise architectures and solutions across multiple disciplines
Thorough knowledge and understanding of current IBM Cloud Computing technologies, strategies, solutions, assessment methodologies, planning techniques, technologies, and methods
Experience in creating cloud architecture and roadmaps for cloud solutions as part of larger cloud transformation initiatives – specifically, IBM Cloud
Experience delivering and managing IBM cloud migrations
Required Experience
10+ years of experience in creating and managing enterprise architectures and solutions across multiple disciplines (application architecture, infrastructure and operations, security, governance, automation, integration architecture)
Thorough knowledge and understanding of current IBM Cloud Computing technologies, strategies, solutions, assessment methodologies, planning techniques, technologies, and methods
Experience in creating cloud architecture and roadmaps for both hybrid and non-hybrid cloud solutions as part of larger cloud transformation initiatives specific to the IBM Cloud
Developed experience in delivering and managing IBM cloud migrations
Familiarity with cloud and server-less architectures
Strong understanding and experience in non-technical aspects of cloud transformation (finance, legal, procurement, vendor management, program leadership, change management)
Effective relationship-building and leadership skills across divisional and departmental organizational structures to accomplish enterprise-wide goals
Ability to address issues/opportunities from a business perspective and IT best practices point-of-view
Responsibilities include:
Be a trusted advisor with prior experience in thought leadership for IBM cloud technologies across multiple disciplines (application architecture, integration architecture, infrastructure and operations, security, governance, automation)
Develop a deep understanding of the business domain and help build the road map to move workloads to the IBM Cloud
Lead, collaborate, and communicate architectural vision and governance models
Lead and take part in cloud readiness assessments, roadmap, implementation, and migration
Assess business viability of new cloud adoption requirements
Work with cross-functional IT teams and business stakeholders to identify strategic cloud adoption requirements and produce or contribute to cloud consumption, strategy, roadmap, and architecture artifacts
