Description:
The Bureau of Information Management at the Iowa Department of Public Health seeks a Technical Specialist 1 to provide expert security support and assist with infrastructure support and maintenance.
This position will provide technical expertise to the Security Coordinator and support efforts to patch over 500 computers and servers in the Department. This position will work with the infrastructure team to remediate help desk issues, particularly related to security, and provide expert consultation to Senior Managers on security issues and potential remediations.
This position will need to collaborate with the Bureau Chief, the Security Coordinator, and other key IM staff to successfully complete projects. The position would be best filled by a professional with either a CISSP or GSEC certification. Additional Microsoft certifications, such as MCSE, are preferred.
