Job Description:

Client is seeking a creative and logical thinker with strong analytical and technical skills to administer part of its future generation of Hyperion Planning applications. The applicant will be a part of the financial system and process transformation initiative through the Consolidation, Planning & Reporting (CPR) program. The CPR program was established to transform the Financial Planning, and Analysis (FP&A) and Close and Consolidation (C&C) functions to drive more standardization, greater efficiency, and improved quality and consistency of information. A primary responsibility will be to act as the systems administrator for Hyperion Planning supporting application design, testing, and implementation. Candidate should have a deep understanding of how data flows and transforms from source systems to the downstream systems. In addition, the candidate should understand and be able to work within Hyperion application dimensions, cubes and understand how to read data architecture diagrams. The applicant will be required to manage varied concurrent tasks, perform and conclude on analysis, and collaborate within the team. Additional responsibilities include partnering with IT as it relates to the development of the application. Must work with a high level of independent judgment and initiative, while being able to rapidly take on and assimilate work from other team members when required. When necessary, the applicant will also support corresponding functions such as Corporate and Regional FP&A and C&C.

Additional Information:

Hyperion Planning and Essbase administration including general maintenance for metadata updates, security administration, financial reporting, calculation scripts, webforms, and business rules.
Administer Financial Data Quality Management Enterprise Edition (FDMEE) as the main data interface between applications updating mappings, opening periods, linking data to appropriately defined locations, and can troubleshoot any import, validate, or export errors.
Play a significant role in the CPR program, and input into the definition / requirements gathering, technical definitions, proof of concept, design, test, implement, and sustain phases, as required.
Interface with the business and IT community to translate requirements into conceptual design documentation including recommended solutions that enable the CPR program to achieve its goals.
Document test cases and assist with System Integration Testing, User Access Testing, and Parallels.
Assist in the Budget, Forecast or Long-Term Planning processes including training documents, end-user support, month-end submissions and validations of financial and non-financial information.
Assist with batch postings, journal uploads, allocations, correct month end errors, validation, and consolidation of data.
Prioritize short and long term initiatives and deliverables; communicate reasonable and attainable deadlines.
Provide hyper-care, disaster recovery, and normal on-going process and system support during Close and Consolidation and Forecast processes, inclusive of evening and weekend hours when required.
Ensure SOX compliance and internal audit requirements, where needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
