Job Description :
A mid-senior level Hardware support to manage a critical project for one of our biggest client. The Individual should be passionate about technology, experienced in developing and managing cutting edge technology applications.

Technical Skills:

Server Hardware and Virtualization :

Provide in depth, support for large physical and virtual servers (Server+ Certification a plus
Provide high level support for a robust virtualization technology environment,
Work with vendors (mainly HP, Cisco and VMWare) to understand the strategies, roadmaps and applications for current, updated and emerging technologies.
Develop and maintain key relationships with infrastructure and operations teams.
Assist engineering in the planning, design, evaluation, selection and management of new and modified server hardware and infrastructure.
Work with Engineering and Architecture to design scalable server architectures for critical business systems.
Participate in root-cause analysis meetings, gathering lessons learned, analyzing data, and developing solutions to improve performance and quality.
Work with vendors (mainly HP, Cisco and VMWare) for escalated support
Maintain problem tracking and issue resolution database to speed resolution of future service requests.
Assume role as subject matter expert on one or more of our many foundation technologies or vendor products, with the ability to troubleshoot and performance tune these technologies.
Generate detailed support documentation, SOPs, white papers and technology analysis reviews. Drive internal communications regarding the strategy, product roadmaps and technologies that make up our hardware and virtual infrastructure.
Manage and monitor server capacity planning activities.
Participate in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning and execution; implement disaster recovery processes and procedures in the server environment.
Participate in 24x7 oncall support schedule

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred.
Requires advanced experience in HP rack and blade server technologies and peripherals (i.e. hba''s, system boards, network cards, memory, cpu, etc
Prefered basic knowledge of Cisco UCS, Dell and IBM servers.
Requires advanced experience in HP chassis architecture including OA''s, RIB''s, fiber switches and network switches (HP Procurve
Requires experience in physical and virtual server builds.
Requires basic Windows and Linux support knowledge.
Requires basic support and configuration knowledge of VMWare (base knowledge of HyperV a plus)
Requires minor support/troubleshooting knowledge of network and storage infrastructure.
Requires advanced understanding of server based data center guidelines. Including patch, cable and power management, monitoring, rack cooling etc)
Prefered scripting knowledge (strong skills preferred. Puppet, Powershell, Sharepoint)

Process focused
Experience working with offshore support teams is essential.
Preferred knowledge of ITIL concepts for Help Desk and incident / problem management.
Peferred experience in project management and detailed technical planning.
