Barrister Global Services Network Inc. is currently looking for a motivated, highly detailed, organized and outgoing individual to support one of our major nationwide clients. The successful applicant should be able to quickly adapt their knowledge to the current IT environment and be able to enhance the current systems in place. They should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills so as to be understood by technical and non-technical personnel.

Job Summary :

As a Hadoop Developer you should have good experience in the application of standard software development principles. You should be able to work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks. You should have in-depth knowledge of multiple Hadoop based development technology/ programming language. You should be able to respond to technical queries/requests from team members and customers.


Essential Job Functions:

You are responsible for the development, support, maintenance and implementation of complex Hadoop project modules
Take ownership of data, transform it, decode it and ensure that it is not destroyed
Receive unstructured data through flume or structured data through RDBMS and perform data cleaning using various tools in the hadoop ecosystem
After data cleaning, write a report or create visualizations for the data using BI tools.

Requirements :

Over 4 year(s) of experience
Familiarity with data management concepts data modeling, effectively organizing large data volumes; both structured and unstructured, data quality, data security, etc.
Experience in the Hadoop ecosystem.
Leverage Hadoop ecosystem knowledge to design, and develop capabilities to deliver our solutions using Spark, Scala, Python, Hive, Oozie, Kafka,
Bash Shell Scripting experience
Experience in working in Agile.
