Location: Windsor Mill, MD
Duration: 6+ Month
Experience: This position requires 14 years of related IT experience. A BS degree is required.
We can accept candidates with 12 years with an MS/MBA degree.
The candidate must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust.

This is on a contract in support of Leidos for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) slated to go until 8/2020, annually renewed.
Job Description:
We have an immediate need for a Hadoop Architect who will:
Work with the customer to gather requirements and design solution parameters for implementation and research activities.
Present Hadoop architecture to stakeholders and seek acceptance from various business and technical partners.
Establish Big Data project milestones and establish acceptance criteria.
Perform administrative and reporting tasks for the program customers and executives.
Develop hardware and software requirements for the Hadoop environment and establish security requirements based on the network configurations.
Required Skills:
Bachelor of Science in related field with fourteen (14+) or more years related experience or equivalent years of education and experience
Must specialize in functional or technical areas such as, but not limited to, business process reengineering, physical and data security, Earned Value Management (EVM), Quality Assurance, Project Management, training and Business Intelligence
Must possess ten (10) years of experience in a variety of IT and business areas and seven (7) years of experience in a Big Data environment
Must have hands-on programming experience with Java/Scala/C++/Python as well as shell scripts and SQL
Experience in designing Hadoop environment
Experience with Kerberos security implementation
Experience in Cloudera distribution of Hadoop
Experience with ETL and Analytical platforms
Highly effective communication and collaboration skills are required
Must have implementation and tunings experience for Apache Hadoop tools such as Pig and Hive
Desired Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Network Security
EVM and QA experience
