Developing Java web service applications to support our public websites.
Contributing to all phases of the SDLC.
Writing and documenting well designed, testable and efficient code.
Description
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with knowledge of Spring and Hibernate to augment our current development staff.
You will be assisting in enhancing existing Java Web Services and building out new services based on upcoming project requirements in support of our public websites.
Requirements
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Proven hands-on Software Development experience
Proven working experience in Java development in an enterprise environment
Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java platforms
Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
Working knowledge of Java 8
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies like Hibernate
Experience with the Spring Framework
Experience with RESTful web services
Experience with test-driven development
Team makeup
Fully built out Agile Scrum Team including backend devs, frontend devs, BA''s, ETL, Scrum Master and Project Manager
Agile Scrum Methodology with three week sprints (Daily Standups, Formal Sprint Planning/Retros and Backlog Grooming)
