Role: Hadoop Administrator
Location: DEERFIELD, IL
Duration: 12+ Months

Essential Skills:
Install and configure new Hadoop cluster
Apply proper architecture guidelines to ensure highly available services
Plan and execute major platform software upgrades and maintenance across physical environments and cloud environments
Implement security measures for all aspects of the cluster (SSL, disk encryption, role-based access via Apache Ranger policies)
Design and implement a toolset that simplifies provisioning and support of a large cluster environment
Monitor of Hadoop cluster health and performance
Aligning with the systems engineering team to propose and deploy new hardware and software environments required for Hadoop and to expand existing environments.
Report defects to the development team or manager and driving them to closure.
Support end users and troubleshoot issues when needed
Create and maintain detailed, up-to-date technical documentationAddendum
Working experience with Hortonworks HDP2.
Experience of installation and maintenance of Ambari, Ranger, Knox, Spark, Kafka, Hbase
Experience of working with Kerberos, active directory and SSL.
Experience of integration of HDP with Confluence Kafka, SAP Spark controller
Experience in deploying Hadoop cluster in Microsoft Azure Cloud
Experience in Automation Configuration using Chef Docs and/or Cloudbolt Blueprints
Experience in troubleshooting performance issues
Experience in IBM BigSQL and SQL processing features
